PTFE Coated Glass Fabric
We offer various grades of material suitable for a broad spectrum of industries and specific application requirements.
Our fabrics exhibit the following high-performance characteristics:
PREMIUM GRADE
This grade features a heavy coating of PTFE and delivers a super smooth surface that is perfect for advanced applications i.e. Laminate separator sheets; Specialized heat-sealing; demanding non-stick applications etc.
INDUSTRIAL GRADE
This has a smooth surface with superb non-stick properties and serves the widest range of applications some of which include non stick surfaces for paints, adhesives and food products; gaskets, seals and bearings for chemicals, oils and gases; thermal insulation for high temperature and chemical resistant applications; covers for hot plates, platens, chutes, hoppers, troughs and rolls where a low co-efficient of friction is required.
MECHANICAL AND ECONOMY GRADES
These materials have a medium and light coating of PTFE respectively. The mechanical grade delivers resistance to high temperature and chemicals with typical uses such as laboratory aprons and protective curtains; bottle washers and paint spraying curtains; food packaging; acid protection. The economy grades are designed for large volume applications that require cost efficiency. They typically include leaders for processing paper, plastics, metallic foils, and cloth; separator sheets for processing uncured rubber; the manufacture of abrasive wheels.
GRAPHITE LOADED GRADES
These materials give semi-conductive and anti-static properties to the material that can eliminate or reduce static problems in belt and slip sheet applications.
ADHESIVE GRADES
Most of the above are available with an adhesive backing. These fabrics have a pressure sensitive silicone adhesive. The adhesive film thickness is nominally 0.05 mm; weight is nominally 50g/m². A protective film covers the adhesive. Surfaces must be clean, dry and grease free before applying the fabric. If operating temperature exceeds 130°C bring newly covered surface up to full temperature gradually over a period of some hours. This grade must be stored in a cool dry and shaded place. Do not expose to sunlight. Storage temperature should be 20°C ±5°C at a relative humidity of 45/75%.
Our fabrics are available in a range of thicknesses and widths in lengths as required. The slit rolls are from 10 mm wide and are available in standard roll lengths of 15 and 30 metres.
